The balance tolerances on the R&D Monster Wheels are held to a much stricter and tighter tolerance over O.E.M. or aftermarket wheels.The R&D pre- cision two plane balanced compressor wheels will perform perfectly and smoothly at 180,000-200,000 rpm’s as the wheels have been blueprinted and balanced to stringent turbocharger specifications, even though the wheel will only spin at 46-48,000 rpm’s in the Rotax engine at 8,000 crankshaft rpm’s. R&D’s higher balancing standards will add significantly to the service life and performance of Rotax’s vulnerable and temperamental clutch system and will significantly increase bearing life, promote better clutch performance, extend clutch life through decreased clutch slippage, and increase horsepower per- formance.
