For closed course or endurance racing use using the rotax racing E.C.U. where rpms are between 8250 and 8500, R&D recommends the use of the X model or aftermarket intercooler system. Tests have proven the O.E.M. intercooler to have restrictions at 23.5 pounds of air, or 9.5 pounds of boost at sea level and 60-80 degrees.
