R&D Powershot Fuel Control Units are not required on entry recreational level (R1, R2, or R3) programs. However, custom fuel tuning with the Powershot Fuel Tuner can be an add-on or additional upgrade that is suggested for higher performance applications with Booster Wheels or Camshaft Kits. Fuel tuning or AFR conditions should always be checked and verified as values will always be slightly different from one engine set up to another.
