This pump has been installed in the 215hp, 255hp, and 260hp Sea-Doo watercraft. Sea-Doo made a mid season change in the impeller and pump system in 2008. The 2004- 2007 models all take the same style impeller. The 2009-2015 models all take the same style impeller. Unfortunately, in 2008, there wasn’t any rhyme or reason to which impeller and pump system was installed into a particular model Sea-Doo. We have seen the 2 different pumps in 2008 in the same model. This makes it very difficult to determine what style pump system is in a 2008 model 215hp, 255hp, or 260hp Sea-Doo. Below are photos of the 2 different style pumps and impellers. This is the way to determine the difference between the 2. To determine the difference you will need to either remove the impeller and inspect the internal hub or remove the tail cone and inspect the impeller shaft. The images on the left are the 2004-2008 style impeller/pump system. The images on the right are the 2008- 2015 impeller/pump system. When ordering replacement impellers for the 2008 model Sea-Doo’s with the 159.8mm pump, we need to know which style impeller you need. Please inspect your impeller/pump prior to ordering. This information is crucial to ensure that you get the correct impeller for your 2008 Sea-Doo application.
