RRP Fat Bar Steering Systems (STR-SYST-UNIV-F-COLOR) manufactured in
2015 and earlier were made with the extended base clamp shown below, this
short clamp will move the handlebars 7/8” closer to the pivot point.

RRP LIGHTWEIGHT STEERING SYSTEM
RRP has developed a new evolution of the AST steering system. This system
is the lightest steering system available for freestyle and racing. This new
system is the only over the pivot steering system that is adjustable, this sys-
tem allows for the handlebars to be directly over the pivot bolt or 5/8” back
from the pivot point. This system will allow you to make steering adjustments
without having to remove the handlebars. The steering system base plate will
allow for the four mounting bolts to installed from the top and secured with
nylux nuts or mounted from the bottom based on the base placed has been
manufactured with threads for mounting. The system uses the RRP orings,
bearings and grease zerk fitting from the AST steering system. The steering
arm mounts the to turn plate and can be mounted on either side depending
on your application. Available May 2017.

RRP AST STEERING SYSTEM FOR 28.6MM FAT BARS
This RRP AST (Advanced Steering Technology) steering system has been
designed for all types of riding from Freestyle to racing and from freeride to
the recreational rider. Each rider will find benefits in this concept.
The concept behind this steering system has many features:
• To bring the rider closer to the pivot point
• Less movement to turn the bars (quicker steering ratio)
• Lowers the center of gravity
• Multiple bar position allowing the rider to perfect their riding style
• Fits all stand up watercraft due to the movable steering cable arm
• Slotted steering arm allows for extremely precise steering ratio adjustments
• Utilizes the fat bar 28.6 mm technology for better clamping surface
• The system uses bearings and is o-ring sealed
• Grease Zerk fitting to grease the bearing system for easy maintenance
• 100% Compatible with all RRP carbon chin pads

RRP AST PAD
RRP AST Pad was developed for use on the RRP Fat Bar Steering Systems
based on Fat Handlebars do not have a cross bar and pad. These pads are
required by the IJSBA for all racing and freestyle classes (IJSBA rule book:
handle bar mount padding mandate in the stock class rule # 6.2.9). A mounting
bracket will be required for mounting to the RRP Lightweight Steering System.
